Library


The Library uses Libsoft software package which is an integrated multi-user library management system that supports all in-house operations of the Library. The Libsoft consists of modules on acquisition, cataloguing, circulation, serials, and OPAC. The database of books available in the Library is being updated on day to day basis with details of recently acquired books. Records of all the Library patrons have also been created in the Libsoft package.
SSIET has good and huge collection of books, journals, magazines, conferences, newspaper in its library. The library is centralized. The library of institute offers a variety of information sources like textbooks and journals of national and international level. College also has membership of all national standards. At a time library can accommodate more then 200 students can be accommodated in the library. Library has more then 21,322 books and 104 national and international journals. For each and every course and branch library has books of all famous and well known authors. Library do issues membership cards to the students and staff. Library books can be issued to the person, having membership cards, in fact there is also a reference section in library, where students may study all displayed books, news paper, journals. The library room, a sprawling space at the farthest end of the college building, with little noise filtering in.
