Civil Engineering
Civil Engineering is the oldest branch of Engineering which is growing right from the Stone Age. It is that branch of engineering which shapes the nations around the world. As the world economy is growing up so is the demand of physical infrastructure. Vast network of transportation, tall buildings, flyovers, bridges, malls, multiplexes etc. which should be not only be safe but economical too. It is the Civil Engineers who plan, design, construct and manage such projects. They contribute to the socio-economic growth, health & safety of a country. Since July 2010, the Civil Engineering Department is imparting quality education to acquire the technological advancement and to meet industrial requirement. This has been made possible due to qualified and dedicated faculty, state of the art laboratories and infrastructure. Looking forward to the demand of Civil Engineers, the student intake has been raised from 100 to 120 students per year
The mission of Civil Engineering programme is to provide a balanced education to students to make them strong in the scientific, engineering, humanistic and social basis so that they may attain leadership role in their profession and use their knowledge and skills for the enhancement of human welfare and the environment.
 
OBJECTIVES
  • To prepare every student with a solid foundation in Mathematics, Sciences and Technical Skills needed to analyze and design Civil Infrastructure Systems.

  • To make every student familiar with current and emerging Civil Engineering trends and to develop an understanding of ethical and societal responsibilities.

  • To inculcate national and international leadership in propelling engineering knowledge through research and scholarship
MILESTONE
The Civil Engineering Department is proud to announce that the department established in 2010 is going to achieve its first milestone, i.e. PASSING OUT OF THE FIRST BATCH OF CIVIL ENGINEERS IN JUNE 2014.
DEPARTMENT LABORATORIES
The Department has state of the art infrastructure and Laboratories for training students to meet the requirements of Construction Industry. It has different laboratories dedicated to teaching, testing and research. These laboratories are being continuously modernized with the advancement in the respective technical fields.
